We are looking for a psychologist to join the team, who will expand the clinic's existing team of psychologists and, together with other team members, will provide care to patients and their loved ones and participate in the development of palliative care:

  • will provide professional and empathetic support to patients and their loved ones, or survivors,
  • is willing to develop his/her expertise in accordance with the values of the clinic,
  • will cooperate with colleagues from other professions in caring for the sick and their loved ones,
  • is flexible and willing to work in changing conditions.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

  • Provide crisis intervention (one-time, short-term),
  • supportive psychotherapy and accompanying patients through treatment during hospitalization and in outpatient settings,
  • short-term emergent psychotherapy focused on solving the patient's current difficulties in connection with a serious illness and at the end of life,
  • cooperate with doctors and the palliative care team in caring for the patient and their loved ones in situations of diagnosing the disease, reversals in treatment, unfavorable prognosis of the patient, treatment after being given bad news, etc.,
  • to collaborate multidisciplinary within a support team,
  • participate in the education of other professionals, in the scientific and academic activities of the clinic,
  • If you are interested, you will have the opportunity to develop in the area of care for personnel, pediatric patients, perinatal issues,
  • participate in professional, coordination and organizational meetings of the palliative team,
  • work with a standard hospital information system.

  • possibility of accommodation outside Prague,

  • kindergarten on the premises of the General Teaching Hospital and suburban summer camps for children of employees,
  • interesting extracurricular activities - joint sports events and more.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You have completed a master's degree in psychology,
  • you have a course in healthcare psychology, a course in crisis intervention and ideally a course in comprehensive crisis intervention,
  • you have at least begun psychotherapy training, ideally completed psychotherapy education,
  • you are able to work independently and in a team,
  • experience in the field is an advantage,
  • you have user IT skills,
  • Your knowledge of English and the ability to communicate professionally in a foreign language are an advantage,
  • you can show us the moral and civil integrity (pure criminal record).
