Over 4,000 people visited the Open House at the VFN

This year, the architecture festival, which took place in the week from 12 to 18 May, once again offered guided tours, lectures, walks, exhibitions and other events. Four interesting architectural objects were made available to the general public at the VFN. Traditionally, a large number of visitors were attracted by the Ceramic Salon – a world-class unique work by architect Jan Kotěra from 1914 with elements of floral and geometric Art Nouveau made of Rako tiles. This year's novelty – a tour of the Chapel of St. Cross at Apolinář at the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and VFN – was met with great acclaim. More than 1,700 visitors arrived here during the weekend of 17 and 18 May. The iconic Central Boiler Room by architect Karel Prager and the sculpture by Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová in the brutalist building of the Urology Clinic were also of interest.
