We greatly appreciate our patients and therefore the hospital's Ombudsman was established at the General University Hospital in Prague. There may be situations where patients or their relatives believe that their rights have been violated or compromised, or you want to tell us that you were satisfied with the care at VFN.

Who can turn to the hospital ombudsman?
The patient, any hospital visitor or employee has the opportunity to visit the Ombudsman in person or contact him in writing, by telephone or by e-mail.
What is the mission of the hospital ombudsman?
The Hospital Ombudsman at VFN is committed to protecting patients' rights. It provides assistance to patients, their families and relatives in dealing with situations arising in connection with diagnosis, treatment and hospital stay. At the same time, it strives to ensure trouble-free communication between patients, their relatives and VFN staff. It strives to improve the quality and safety of health services provided and to maximize patient satisfaction.
What will the Hospital Ombudsman help you with?
The Hospital Ombudsman assists patients in handling their complaints, in the difficulties of providing care and services, or in communicating and conducting staff. It also helps to obtain information that patients need and has not been communicated. It facilitates communication between the hospital and the patient or his / her relatives, ascertains and investigates the true state of affairs and helps to remedy any possible remedy. Of course, it also receives praise from patients and their loved ones.
Complaints lodged by individuals in connection with the provision of health services.
Ust. § 93 et seq. of Act No. 372/2011 Coll., on Health Services and Conditions of their Provision (hereinafter referred to as the “Health Services Act”) provides framework procedural rules for handling complaints lodged by individuals in connection with the provision of health services. These complaints are handled by the Internal Audit and Control Department (OVAK) Filing and handling complaints.
