Development of VFN in the 21st century

The development and passportization of the hospital in the 21st century was the main topic of the panel discussion and expert lecture, which took place today at the CAMP Center for Architecture and Urban Planning under the auspices of VFN Prague and in cooperation with the City Hall of the Capital City of Prague and the Municipal District of Prague 2.

The director of the VFN hospital, prof., presented his view on the given topic. David Feltl, dean of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University, prof. MD Martin Vokurka, CSc., Mayor of Prague 2 and Deputy Mayor of the City of Prague for Social Affairs, Housing and Healthcare Ing. Alexandra Udženija, Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Prague doc. Ing. arch. Petr Hlaváček, director of the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague Mgr. Ondřej Boháč, deputy for investment and development of VFN Ing. Václav Javůrek and also the head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic VFN prof. MD David Cibula, CSc.    

The conference was also attended by a number of other architects, surveyors and experts from the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague.

The aim of the event was to present modern methods that can be used for effective planning of building modernization, for example laser scanning, digitization of objects and documentation or creation of 3D models. The participants had the opportunity to see the building of the VFN Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the University of Applied Sciences "U Apolináře", which already has its 3D model. The entire area was targeted using 3D laser scanning, which will greatly facilitate the implementation of the planned modifications to the clinic.
