Specialist in laboratory methods (m/f)

Time: 1.0 (40 hours per week)

Start date: immediately or by appointment

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

Perform professional activities in an accredited molecular genetics laboratory including:

  • work with biological material (marking, records, archiving),
  • planning and carrying out laboratory examinations according to the requirements of the referring doctors,
  • optimization of procedures while observing good laboratory practice,
  • evaluation and interpretation of genetic test results (in connection with the patient's clinical symptoms),
  • operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment,
  • working with the laboratory information system and laboratory documentation – both paper and electronic (protocols, results reports, examination statistics),
  • participation in the preparation and maintenance of controlled laboratory documentation,
  • searching for information in public databases and publications,
  • presenting the results.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

  • You have completed a university degree in biology/medicine/chemistry (preferably molecular biology, genetics, general medicine),
  • you have professional and medical competence according to Act 96/2004 Coll., 
  • you are proficient in working with a PC, MS Office (especially Excel) and cloud storage,
  • you are fluent in English (searching for information in professional publications and international databases, using applications and software in English, etc.),
  • Experience in professional work in a genetic laboratory or with bioinformatics processing and data evaluation is an advantage (not a requirement),
  • active approach to work and responsibility is no stranger to you,
  • you are able to work independently and in a team,
  • you want to learn new things and you are flexible,
  • you can show us the moral and civil integrity (pure criminal record).
