Nursing care for patients with a venous catheter and parenteral nutrition applied in a natural social environment
The aim of the course is to prepare non-medical workers (general nurses) for narrowly defined activities, for which course graduates acquire special professional competence. The course will enable general nurses to acquire special professional competence for the application of parenteral nutrition in the patient's social environment, deepen the qualifications of general nurses and improve the quality of nursing care. A partial aim is also to set the rules of cooperation between the workers of the DPV center, home care agencies (hereinafter referred to as ADP), the client and his family.
The course is designed for:

for general nurses after completing the adaptation process
and qualified to practice the health profession without professional supervision.
Entry requirements:
- End of the adaptation process
- 2 years of experience as a general nurse

Schedule:
The hourly allowance for the entire course is 33 hours.
Theoretical part – 14 hours (45 minutes each)
Practical part – 19 hours (60 minutes each)
Course date 2026:
Theoretical part – 2.2. – 4.2. 2026
Practical part – 6.2., 9.2., 13.2., 16.2., 20.2., 2.3., 6.3., 9.3.
Final exam – March 13, 2026
Venue:
Theoretical part – starting in the classroom of the Education Department of the General Hospital, Na Bojišti 1, Prague 2, 2nd floor
– 3.2. and 4.2. – lecture hall of the Eye Clinic of the General Hospital, U Nemocnice 499/2, Prague 2
Practical part – takes place at specialized departments of the 4th Internal Medicine Clinic of the General Hospital in Prague
Termination method:
Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a certificate from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.

6 500 CZK
The participation of an employee of the General Teaching Hospital in Prague is 2,000 CZk
