Theoretical part (8:25-15:30)

BLOCK I (08:30-9:30)

  1. Imaging methods for pleural processes (Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Jiří Votruba)
  2. Facts and myths about pleural effusions and chest drains (MUDr. Zuzana Šestáková)
  3. Clinical thoracoscopy – indications, performance, complications (Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Jiří Votruba)
  4. Chest drainage: indications, tips and tricks (MUDr. Kryštof Šefl)

 

BLOCK II (9:40-11:00)

  1. Management of patients with pneumothorax and hemothorax (MUDr. Zuzana Hajníková)
  2. Management of patients with parapneumonic effusion and empyema (MUDr. Tomáš Hromek)
  3. VATS management of complicated parapneumonic effusion/empyema and recurrent pneumothorax (MUDr. Jiří Pozniak)
  4. Management of patients with persistent air-leak (MUDr. Zuzana Šestáková)

 

BLOCK III (11:30-12:30)

  1. Management of patients with malignant pleural effusion (MUDr. Zuzana Šestáková)
  2. Implantation of a pleural port-system in the treatment of effusions (Prof. MUDr. Pavel Michálek, Ph.D., DESA, M.Sc., FEAMS, MBA)
  3. Technical aspects of patients with TPK from a nurse's perspective (MUDr. Zuzana Šestáková, Bc. Veronika Pechková)

 

Practical part (12:30-15:30)

A – training in the introduction of TPK on models

B – clinical thoracoscopy rigid/semi-rigid

C – chest tube insertion and fixation training

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: If the client cancels their participation 14 calendar days before the start of the event, the cancellation fee is 100% of the set price of the event (the issued invoice must be paid). The exception is the client's proven incapacity for work at the time of the event or other serious reasons. The head of the education department decides on exceptions. Cancellation of the event is only possible in writing to the e-mail address: ondrej.bauer@vfn.cz
