The traditional meeting, organized by the II. Department of Surgery – Cardiovascular Surgery of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and the General Hospital, will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. in the Medical House, Sokolovská 490/31, Prague 2. Participants will be introduced to modern cardiovascular surgery programs. The event was under the patronage of the head of the clinic, Prof. MUDr. Tomáš Grus, Ph.D., the coordinator is Prof. MUDr. Jaroslav Lindner, CSc., the chairman is Prof. MUDr. Zdeněk Krška, DrSc.

The evening's participants can expect interesting lectures: Cardiac support in the treatment of heart failure, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, Pulmonary endarterectomy in the treatment of CTEPH, Hybrid and interventional procedures in vascular surgery, and the last lecture is Selective perfusion of tissues and organs as part of oncovascular surgery.

Diviš's Evening is one of the events organized with the Association of Czech Doctors in Prague. It commemorates Professor Jiří Diviš, one of the most prominent Czech surgeons and pioneers of thoracic surgery, who, in addition to his extraordinary professional and scientific achievements, contributed to the development and progress of the 2nd Surgical Clinic - Cardiovascular Surgery of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General Hospital as a top educational institution that has educated many important students, which is why experts rightly speak of the Diviš Surgical School.
