The Ophthalmology Department of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General Hospital has acquired brand new operating rooms, which will allow for an increase and more efficient number of surgical procedures.

The Eye Clinic provides comprehensive care in the field of ophthalmology and cares for a wide range of patients. Our specialists perform almost 3 thousand intraocular surgeries annually, including cataract surgeries, corneal transplants and retinal surgeries. The ceremonial opening of the new operating rooms was undertaken by the director of the hospital, Prof. MUDr. David Feltl, the head of the Eye Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and General Hospital, Prof. MUDr. Jarmila Heissigerová, and the head of the department, MUDr. Ing. Marie Vajter.
