The Contract Policy Department ensures the contractual relations of the General University Hospital in Prague with health insurance companies and coordinates processes related to the reimbursement of healthcare provided by the hospital.

The department is responsible for the preparation, administration and development of contractual documentation with health insurance companies, changes in the scope and structure of the care provided, contracting new expertise, performance and health services. At the same time, it provides methodological support to clinical departments in the area of contractual relations and conditions of health care reimbursement. In the area of health care reimbursement, the department ensures the agenda of reimbursement supplements, final health care billing and settlement of payments with health insurance companies, including the application of objections and other tools for protecting the hospital's legitimate claims. The department monitors legislative and methodological changes in the public health insurance system, evaluates their impacts on the hospital's activities and cooperates with health insurance companies, clinical departments and other hospital departments in ensuring the availability and development of health services.

The department's goal is to ensure optimal contractual conditions and maximum possible reimbursement for the healthcare provided while complying with applicable legal regulations, contractual agreements, and health insurance company methodologies.
