Free liver screening at Palackého náměstí

In days October 6 to 8, 2026 Experts from the VFN will offer the public a free non-invasive liver examination using the FibroScan device. The event will take place on Palackého Square in front of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, always from 10:00 to 16:30, without the need to order.     

The examination is quick, painless and within a few minutes it will measure the stiffness of the liver tissue and the amount of fat in the liver. If a suspicious finding appears, participants will receive recommendations for further specialist examination and contacts for making an appointment at the hepatology clinic of the VFN.     

The event is part of ELPA Liver Screening Tour 2026 and is taking place in cooperation with the European Liver Patients' Association and the team of Prof. Radan Brůha from the IV. Internal Clinic - Clinic of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General Hospital.
