The VFN project is actively supported by the Police of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Medical Rescue Service of the Capital City of Prague and the Fire Rescue Service of the Capital City of Prague! The challenge consists of a "duel" of donations between the IZS units and the public. The transfusion stations will send the totals of donors to the police's e-mail every week, and the data itself will then appear on: www.policie.cz/nasekrev

Thanks to them, fictitious containers of IZS x public blood will be filled, you can also contribute to one of them. You will help and maybe influence the final result of the fight! Therefore, it is always important to inform the nurses before the collection whether you are coming as a member of the IZS or as a member of the public.

The donation campaign runs until August 31, 2026. The period was not chosen randomly; hospitals regularly face blood shortages during the summer months. The goal project is to spread awareness about donation-free blood donation, and thus help transfusion stations throughout the Czech Republic find new regular donors. Those currently about 100,000 are missing in the Czech Republic.
