Although the operation of hospitals has slowed down due to coronavirus, acute procedures and operations cannot stop. Some products made from human blood cannot be stored for a long time, so blood transfusions are starting to worry about enough blood supplies. Blood donation is not prohibited. The General University Hospital in Prague has adopted small security measures and accepts donors in an almost normal regime. Read more in the press release.

Conditions for blood donation:

• you have not been abroad for the last month,
• you are not a foreigner,
• have not been in contact recently with a person with upper respiratory disease
• you are healthy and weigh over 50 kg.
