The catering system at the VFN:
- In our hospital facility, you have a diet prescribed by your doctor, which is one of the important treatment measures for your illness. If you have no dietary restrictions, you have a prescribed basic diet 3 in the MAL (diet 3 MAL) or FIT (diet 3 FIT) variant.
- DIET 3 MAL It contains mostly popular and classic dishes and is served mainly to patients at risk of malnutrition during illness.
- DIET 3 FIT meets all the principles of a healthy diet according to the World Health Organization. It has an increased fiber content, a reduced fat content, especially with the content of saturated fatty acids. It is suitable primarily for patients without the risk of malnutrition. In any case, it depends on your usual eating habits, if the second option suits you better than the one you received on prescription, it is possible to exchange them without any problems.
- For breastfeeding mothers In addition to the classic non-flatulent diet, we also offer FIT diet menu. The latest studies show that flatulence-causing food components do not pass into breast milk. Carbonated water, fresh and whole-grain bread, legumes or cruciferous vegetables do not harm breast milk.
- For swallowing disorders You will receive food that is pulverized but returned to its original form. You may also receive chicken thigh with red cabbage.
- We also have on offer vegetarian diet.
- Other special diets are prescribed to help you if your condition requires specific dietary restrictions.
When preparing food, we pay attention to the freshness of the food, we do not use any seasoning mixtures and we have minimized semi-finished products. We season dishes only with one type of spice or green herbs. We try to serve you tasty and nutritionally valuable food, even within the framework of dietary restrictions.
