Donate blood, platelets or plasma at the General University Hospital in Prague and you could receive an extended weekend for two at the Wellness Resort JESENICE

Dear donors,

We have prepared an event for you, the aim of which is to support voluntary, unpaid donation of blood and blood components.

Event rules:

Anyone can participate in the event an adult natural person who meets the conditions for donating blood and blood components and who has a valid delivery address in the Czech Republic. That is, anyone who donates blood or blood components in Faculty Transfusion Department of the General University Hospital in Prague (hereinafter referred to as FTO VFN), both at both permanent addresses and as part of collections with a mobile unit outside the address of the FTO VFN workplaces.

As part of the event, there are only valid for non-contribution subscriptions and you can participate if, during the event period, from 01.06.2025 to 30.05.2026, you donate at least 3 times whole blood or 7 times platelets or plasma. All blood, platelet and plasma donations made from 01.06.2025 inclusive are included.

Persons in an employment or similar relationship with the event promoter and persons close to them cannot participate in the event, and blood donors registered in the collection centers of the FTO VFN in Prague, which are the HTO Oblastní nemocnice Příbram as and HTO Rokycanské nemocnice (Hospital of the Plzeň Region, as), cannot participate.

The event will be announced and further communicated on the website of the FTO VFN in Prague, on the FTO Facebook page, on the VFN Facebook page, and on Instagram. Information leaflets will be posted in the FTO.

To participate:

If you meet the conditions and want to participate in the event, please inform the blood donor registry employee when registering for a free donation. The registry staff will then issue you with a special "Blood Donor ID Card", which will be marked "WELLNESS Event". The registry staff will record your donation and all previous donation-free donations starting from 01.06.2025 inclusive.

After reaching at least 3 free donations of whole blood or 7 free donations of plasma or platelets, you will submit this donor ID card marked "WELLNESS Event" to the registry, where it will be stored in a locked box. Of course, you can only complete and submit the ID card after reaching the required number of donations.

Final draw

Wednesday 17.06.2026, immediately after the celebrations of World Blood Donor Day (June 14) they will be from all participants included in the event 3 donors were drawn, who will receive a voucher as a reward wellness stay for two people at the Wellness Resort JESENICE.

The drawing of three winners will take place at the premises of the FTO VFN in Prague. A donor can only be drawn once. The winners will be informed of their win by e-mail.

If the prizes are not claimed within 30 days after the specified deadline, a second round of drawing will take place and the prizes will be awarded to the winners drawn in the second and possibly subsequent rounds.
