European countries and areas at risk of West Nile virus (WNV) transmission

The National Transfusion Commission of the Ministry of Health and the Society for Transfusion Medicine ČLS JEP published their opinion on the temporary exclusion from donation after visiting risk areas of West Nile Virus occurrence in the period from 1.5.2024 - 31.10.2024, a temporary exclusion for 28 days is recommended.

December subscriptions restrictions

Dear donors and blood donors

The time before Christmas is coming and we have information for you, like every year, about the December operational changes and restrictions, which are mainly due to capacity reasons as follows:

• from 18.12. until 29/12/2023: we will not register new primary donors

• from 1.12. until 29/12/2023: we do not accept donors from other transfusion departments

• 22.12., 27.12., 28.12. and 29.12.202: we only order donors
