Spartan blood for the nineteenth time this year

Autumn is here and with it another year of the "Spartan Blood" project, the nineteenth this year.

If you participate and donate blood between 2. 11. 2025 – 7. 12. 2025 you will receive a ticket to the Sparta home match, which will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the O2 Arena.

Special blood donations are also planned for the A-team facilities (Fortuna Sports Hall in Holešovice) at the beginning of November. Each donor can also apply for a Spartan Blood Donor Card, which records completed donations and with which it is possible to subsequently obtain special gifts in the HC Sparta Prague fan shop.

Donate blood, platelets or plasma and you could win an extended weekend for two at the JESENICE Wellness Resort.

Anyone who donates can participate without contribution blood or blood components in FTO General Hospital, both at both permanent addresses and as part of collections with a mobile unit outside the address of the FTO VFN workplaces.

You can participate if you are between 1. 6. 2025 to 30. 5. 2026, you donate at least 3 times whole blood or 7 times platelets or plasma.

If you want to register for the event, please let the blood donor registry staff know when registering.

The final draw of three winners will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026., immediately after the celebrations of World Blood Donor Day (June 14) in the premises of the FTO VFN. Winners will receive a long weekend for two in Wellness resort JESENICE.

Expansion of the list of European countries and areas at risk of West Nile virus (WNV) infection

Dear donors and blood donors

The list of areas whose visit is grounds for temporary exclusion (28 days) from donation has been newly expanded to include all regions of Italy. You can read the press release at: Recommendation of the Presidium of the National Transfusion Commission of the Ministry of Health and the Society for Transfusion Medicine of the Czech Republic JEP dated 20 August 2025 – SÚKL.

Czech Registry of Hematopoietic Cell Donors

Dear donors and blood donors

Due to the increasing number of inquiries about the possibility of registering in the bone marrow (hematopoietic cell) donor registry, we would like to remind you that we are the recruitment center of the Czech Hematopoietic Cell Donor Registry IKEM and you can also join the registry with us.

The actual registration consists of filling out a simple questionnaire and taking a blood sample for laboratory examination. Another option is to ask the Czech Registry of Hematopoietic Cell Donors IKEM for a collection kit for a swab from the oral mucosa, perform the collection at home and bring the collected material with you to registration.
